Anita H. Chen. M.D., author of Mayo Clinic on Incontinence is a fellowship trained Urogynecologist at Mayo Clinic Florida. She serves as consultant in the department of Medical and Surgical Gynecology. Dr. Chen is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and Associate Fellowship Director of Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery, Mayo Clinic Florida.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Chen is active in research and education, mentoring college students, medical students, residents and fellows, and has authored many peer-reviewed publications that focus on a wide range of gynecologic research.

Dr. Chen received her M.D. degree at James H. Quillen College of Medicine, East Tennessee State University. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Florida Health Science Center. After residency, she completed her fellowship in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at George Washington University. She is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS).
