Background

Dr. Bauch, medical editor of Mayo Clinic on Better Hearing and Balance, 2nd Edition, is a consulting audiologist in Mayo Clinic’s Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and an associate professor of audiology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He has over 35 years of experience in audiologic assessment and management of hearing loss, and serves as the director of diagnostic audiology in the Division of Audiology. He is also past chair of the Division of Audiology at Mayo Clinic Rochester. Dr. Bauch is a fellow and member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and American Academy of Audiology, as well as executive board member and past president of the American Auditory Society. He has authored numerous scientific papers and book chapters on hearing assessment and disorders, has lectured extensively, and has served as editorial board member, guest editor and associate editor for various scientific journals.
