Dr. Mynderse, medical editor of Mayo Clinic Essential Guide to Prostate Health, 2nd Edition, is a specialist in Mayo Clinic’s Department of Urology and an associate professor of urology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. His current clinical and research interests include minimally invasive therapies for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer. Dr. Mynderse is a principal or co-investigator for numerous clinical trials, including those on new treatments for BPH and focal therapies for localized and recurrent prostate cancer. He has authored many peer-reviewed publications, is a member of numerous medical associations, and is a past president of the Minnesota Urological Society.
